Social Share 1.0.2 — Magento Admin setup 00:00:00 — Set up Social Share Welcome to the Agentic Ecom Social Share setup guide. In a few simple steps, we'll configure the sharing buttons in Magento Admin, save the settings, and check the result. 00:00:11 — Open Social Share settings Start in Magento Admin. Open Marketing, then look for Social Share and choose Settings. You can also reach the same page through Stores, Configuration, General, and Social Share. This guide assumes the extension is already installed. 00:00:27 — Choose the configuration scope Before changing anything, check the Scope selector at the top of the page. We're using Default Config for this demonstration. If your store needs different settings by website or store view, choose that scope first and check which values are inherited. 00:00:43 — Enable the sharing buttons Expand General Settings. Set Enable Social Share to Yes, and make sure Enable Share Buttons is also Yes. These two settings turn on the extension and its sharing controls. Next, open Share Button Settings to choose how the buttons will appear. 00:01:00 — Choose your destinations Under Enabled Platforms, select the destinations you want customers to use. Version one point zero point two supports Facebook, X, Pinterest, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, and email. On Windows, hold Control to select more than one option. On a Mac, use Command. We'll keep all six selected here. 00:01:19 — Choose a button style Choose a Button Style that suits your store. You can use icons with text, icons only, text only, rounded icons, or squared icons. We'll use Icon with Text, so each destination is easy to identify. Leave Show on Product Pages set to Yes to display the buttons on Luma product pages. 00:01:41 — Check the optional X cards Enable Twitter Cards controls the optional summary-card metadata used by X. It does not guarantee a particular preview: the receiving network decides how a shared link appears. Magento already supplies product Open Graph tags in Luma. This module does not automatically add sharing buttons to category, C M S, or blog pages. 00:02:03 — Decide whether to record clicks Open Optional Share Click Tracking. Record Share Clicks is off by default, and we'll leave it set to No. If you turn it on, Magento records share-button clicks in its database, so review your privacy notice first. A recorded click is not confirmation that someone completed a share or made a purchase. 00:02:23 — Save and verify your settings When you're happy with the settings, click Save Config and wait for Magento's confirmation message. If your storefront still shows the previous settings, go to System, Cache Management, and refresh the relevant Magento caches. Then reload a product page to check the result. 00:02:42 — A quick result check Here's the result: six sharing destinations on a Luma product page. 00:02:47 — Your setup checklist That's the setup complete. Choose your scope, enable sharing, select your destinations and style, then save. For a headless storefront, your frontend developer must render the configured share links.
